Where the people who scan your badge end up
The Flextag web app holds your profile, sets where your printed QR points, and keeps the people you meet with it. It comes with every Flextag.
You sign in with the account you make when you activate your Flextag.
What it does
- Your profile, and where the QR points
- Your badge opens your live Flextag profile. In the app you choose whether the QR sends people to that profile or straight to your X, LinkedIn, Instagram or Telegram, and you can change it after the badge is printed. The one exception is chosen at purchase: Your QR code will only ever lead to your profile. You cannot change this once your Flextag is printed.
- Scan someone else's badge
- The app opens your camera, reads their QR and shows you their profile before you decide to send a connection request.
- They become a contact when they accept
- A scan is not a contact. The other person approves the request, and only then do they appear in your list — with your own private notes and tags on them.
- Find one person again
- Search your contacts, or narrow them by the day you added them, the event or location, a tag you gave them, or your own favourites and bookmarks.
- Message them, or take the list with you
- Message a contact inside the app, and export your contacts to a CSV file whenever you want to work with them somewhere else.
What it does not do
The app keeps the people you actually met. It does not suggest people to meet, it does not match you with anyone, and it does not search a directory of strangers you have never scanned.
It does not sync to a CRM, and nobody is added to your contacts — or you to theirs — until the request is approved.
Getting in the first time
- Your activation link arrives with your order
- When your Flextag is made, the email carries a link that activates the exact profile your printed QR opens. That is the account you sign in with.
- NFC is activated after delivery
- Activated once after delivery. Tapping the connector opens the activation page in the web app, where you confirm it once. Opens the same identity as the QR with one tap.
- There is nothing to install
- The web app is a website. It opens in your phone's browser, and on a laptop in the same one you are reading this in.
